Coffee Percolator Design
The concept behind the project was to redesign an object designed in Italy. The first task was to hand draw the existing object, which I chose to be the Bialetti coffee percolator, and the second was to redesign it, again through a hand drawing. The form of the redesign was inspired by how coffee makes us feel, hyper, wired and awake, while also looking at the ergonomics of easily being able to compress it down to stow away.
