I am Nalena Santiago, a Product/UX Designer, currently working at Samsung Research America in the Bay Area (all work is under NDA). My primary work focuses on VR, though I am a full-stack designer with a strong skillset that also includes mobile, desktop, and voice. Prior to joining Samsung, I finished my graduate studies in Human-Computer Interaction at Carnegie Mellon University.
Most importantly, I am a humanitarian and idealist at heart, after completing my undergrad in Architecture I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Paraguay and an AmeriCorps Volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. As someone who seeks equity I strive to design technology that can have an impact on those that need it most, versus a select few.
My personal interests and passions lie in public transit, public speaking, finance and investing, modern agriculture, and hand lettering.
